Vitamin C Rich Chimichurri

You may have heard me speak about the stress busting effect that vitamin C has on our system. It is the primary reason why I began infusing rose into our product lines, as 1 cup of dried rose petals (our rose product contains 5 cups in one jar), is equivalent to 70 organic oranges worth of vitamin C!!! 

Well today I am sharing one of the easiest recipes to make, while adding more vitamin C to your meals, along with many other micronutrients that are helpful for alkalizing and detoxifying the body. I make this recipe nearly every week, as fresh herbs are one of the most dense sources of nutrition. Though incredibly simple and clean, this recipe adds so much flavor to every meal...I find that I cannot get enough of it! 

With the current coronavirus, vitamin C has officially been shown to help fight off the virus. Additionally, this recipe is loaded with raw garlic, which has been proven to be antiviral. I suggest making this recipe and adding it to your lunch and dinner for better immune health and stress reduction as much as you can. 

 

Ingredients:

2 heads of fresh organic cilantro 

2 head of fresh organic parsley 

1 cup extra virgin organic olive oil 

1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional) 

4 cloves of raw garlic - pressed through a garlic press OR finely minced (this is essential to activate the antiviral qualities) 

2 tbsp. white wine vinegar 

Salt to taste

Freshly cracked black pepper to taste 

 

Method:

Finely mince the fresh herbs and add to a mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients and stir. You can add more or less olive oil, depending on your desired consistency. Transfer to a mason jar and store in the fridge. This will keep for about a week. Add to all of your savory dishes for flavor and dense nutrition.
